An employee was placing plastic on an inclined feed conveyor when the metal detector identified metal contaminants and automatically stopped the conveyor. The employee walked up the conveyor belt to extract the metal material from the plastic and then began to descend. While walking down the conveyor, the employee slipped and fell, striking his rib cage against the metal conveyor wall. He was hospitalized with fractured ribs.
